you deserve to take up space
At HumanMend, we believe that your emotions aren’t problems to solve. They’re messages to understand. We remain deeply curious about your unique perspective, recognizing that you are the expert of your own story.
01
when nothing feels like enough
That persistent sense of falling short—the belief that if you could just try harder, do better, or be more, you might finally feel worthy—is not a personal failure. It’s a protective response shaped by a world that often prioritizes appearance over authenticity and achievement over well-being. The critical inner voice that insists you're not enough didn’t arise from nowhere. It developed as a coping strategy, helping you navigate difficult environments and maintain connection in the face of challenge. Although these patterns may have once served to protect you, they may now be holding you back—limiting your capacity for genuine connection and the meaningful life you’re capable of living.
We’re here to support you in this space between what has been and what could be. We specialize in supporting those navigating complex relationships with food and body, anxiety, the weight of shame, and the longing for authentic connection. Together, we'll quiet the noise of "shoulds," build a new relationship with vulnerability, and develop self-compassion that allows you to take up space without apology. HumanMend is the right therapeutic fit for you if you find yourself:

our founder, lindsie
Hi, I’m Lindsie! As a psychotherapist and the founder of HumanMend, I believe healing isn’t about fixing what’s broken, but tending to it with care. My path to this work has been both personal and professional. I’ve watched loved ones struggle with yo-yo dieting and body shame, all while navigating my own anxiety along the way. I learned firsthand how perfectionism and the constant pressure to “have it all together” can leave us feeling disconnected—from ourselves and from others. These experiences taught me that our deepest pain often lives beneath the surface, in the places we rarely show others.
With 10 years of experience as a psychotherapist, I help people untangle themselves from eating disorders, body image battles, and anxiety. I guide them through the transformative (and sometimes messy) work of building self-compassion. At HumanMend, your struggles aren’t character flaws—they’re natural responses to a complex, often overwhelming world. Ready for change that actually sticks? You don’t have to figure it all out alone.
When I’m not in session, you’ll find me on the search for unique stationery, devouring audiobooks at 1.5x speed (yes, I’m that person), or planning my next trip to somewhere warmer than wherever I am—usually with a slice of margherita pizza in hand. I have a soft spot for beautiful interiors: the kind of spaces that feel like a deep exhale, with vintage touches and one-of-a-kind pieces, each telling its own story.
